This fledgling site is intended to help you enjoy MP3s in all their aspects: creation, playback, and sharing. There are some free superior programs that are not the most popular nor easiest to use, and this site will try to help you get comfortable with them, so you can not only make superior MP3s but also share them in a superior fashion.

WinMX(TM) is a relatively new file-sharing application that has evolved into an advanced open-nap program that can also use a serverless protocol (WPNP). WPNP already (as of May 2001) accomodates more¹ file sharers than any (remaining, overcrowded) open-nap server, and there's plenty of room for more! Besides, now (WinMX v3.x) that WPNP supports multi-source file transfers, the open-nap servers seem decidedly quaint and old-fashioned.

If you can't find what you're looking for among the sharing community, you can always try GrabIt and see what the binary newsgroups have to offer on any given day...

Feel free to look around and learn about some free tools that, once you've mastered them, can maximize your realization of the joys of MP3.
